This policy explains what information The Back Bar ("the app", "we", "us") collects, why, and how it's used.
Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and password (handled by our authentication provider, Firebase Authentication — we never see or store your password ourselves). You can also use the app anonymously without creating an account; in that case we assign an anonymous device identifier instead.
Profile and content you create. Your display name, and any recipes, ratings, comments, and reactions you post to Community Cocktails. Anything you submit to Community Cocktails is visible to other users.
Purchase information. If you subscribe to Premium, the purchase is processed by Apple or Google, and subscription/entitlement status is managed by our payments provider, RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card details — those stay with Apple/Google.
Advertising data. If you're on the free plan, the app shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as your advertising ID) and usage data to serve and measure ads. See Google's privacy policy for how AdMob handles this data.
Usage data. Basic technical data needed to operate the app (e.g. crash logs, general usage patterns), collected through Firebase.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data on our behalf.
The Back Bar is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
